*MILITARY MONUMENT

Frankfort Cemetery
Marshall County,
Kansas

This soldier stands atop the tall monument honoring the military. Inscriped on the front face is this poem:
On fames eternal camping ground
Their silent tents are spread.
While glory guards with solemn rounds
The bivouac of the dead.
