Cliff Bailey, 90, Arcadia, died at Mercy Hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1896, at Garland, the son of Edward Arthur and Nannie Mills Bailey. He served in the Navy during World War I. He married Susie May Endicott Dec. 30, 1926, at Girard. She died Oct. 8, 1973.
Mr. Bailey was a retired farmer-stockman. He was a member of Memphis Lodge No. 108, AF&AM, and Fort Scott Scottish Rite Bodies for more than 50 years. He was a life member of Olson-Frary-Burkhart Post 1165 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Garland Grange.
Survivors include a son, Arthur L. Bailey, rural Garland; a sister Gave Jones, 1015 S. Main; a brother, Clyde Bailey, rural Garland; two grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and one step-great-granddaughter.
