William Franklin CLARK

Means (aka Rocky Ford) Cemetery
Greenwood County,
Kansas

January 17, 1853 - November 13, 1888
Aged 35 years 9 months 7 days

Son of Washington Clark and Lavina Burchett Clark. Married to Rebecca Parsons Clark.
William's father died as a prisoner of the Civil War, in Illinois. His mother Rebecca reports that she gave birth to eight children, with seven living by 1900. She made a living as a weaver, while 13 year old son Robert worked as a day laborer. Between 1870-1875 William married Rebecca F Parsons in Lee County, Virginia. They migrated with his family to Greenwood County, Kansas. The seven children that I have identified are Flora C, Florence A, Howard Foster, Minnie Lavisa, M.M. (female), Robert G "Bob", and Emma F. William was a farmer.
