*Obituary
Leonard O'Brien, long active in community affairs of Green Valley, west of Osawatomie, died Monday, Aug 1, 1955. The son of Thomas and Irene O'Brien he was born at O'Brien Station. His marriage to Minnie Thompson took place at Paola. They homesteaded in Colorado, then returned to Osawatomie to make their home, with the exception of a few years at Fredonia. He was a members of the Baptist church and the I O O G at Lane.
Mrs O'Brien died in 1939. Survivors are a brother, Joe O'Brien of Parker and a sister, Mrs Adelaide Gregg of Downey, California. Funeral services conducted by Rev. J Clyde Fowler, were in the Eddy chapel at Osawatomie, Wednesday, August 3. Burial was in Farmington cemetery, Wilson County.
