Kevin E Helmle, 49, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007, in Reno County. He was born March 18, 1958, in Ulysses, to Charles and Emma Crotinger Helmle. He graduated from Stanton County High School in Johnson City.
On August 21, 1988, he married Alisha Yohn in Johnson City. They continued the family farm north of Big Bow, working with his parents, with him gradually taking over the management of the farm. Mr Helmle also was a full-time student pursuing an associate's degree in computers at Hutchinson Community College, where he carried a 4.0 grade point average and was on the honor roll. He also liked working on computers and spending time with his children. He had served in the Air Force.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Rock, and two daughters, Jade and Kisa, all of the home; his parents, of Johnson City; two brothers, Leland Helmle of Cupertino, California, and Chris Helmle of Natick, Massachusetts; and two sisters, Vietta Helmle of San Jose, California, and Sharon Sorrell of Aurora, Colorado.
