HORTON -- Leland E "Knox-sah" Green, 63, Horton, died Saturday, Oct 12, 2002, at a Topeka hospital.
He was born September 9, 1939, on the Kickapoo Reservation west of Horton, to Charles and Pauline Wahwahsuck Green. He studied diesel mechanics at the vocational-technical school in Atchison. He was a demolition car driver.
He was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe and Kennekuk Church west of Horton.
A son, Earl Green, preceded him in death.
Survivors include daughters, Ronette Lewis and Lena Lewis, both in Kansas City, Kansas, and Elaine Green, Horton; stepson, Steven Lewis, Kansas City, Missouri; brothers, Gary Knoxsah Green & Dale Dupuis, both in Horton; sisters, Nellie Shopteese, Vivian Wisheyah, Charlene Whitebird and Roselle Green, all in Horton; and eight grandchildren.
