Kelly lived in Horton, in Brown County.
She was a certified nursing assistant who had worked at health-care facilities in and around Topeka. About a year before her death, she had worked at Indian Trails Mental Health Living Center.She was an Oklahoma native and was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas.
Survivors include four children, including a daughter who lives in Topeka, her brother, Robert Humphrey, of Goff, and her mother, who lives in Horton
