Obituary
Audery M. Cook, 96, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
She was born Jan. 3, 1913, in Scott County, to James F. and Rosa Belle Myers Storm.
A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mrs. Cook was a bakery clerk, Sunday school teacher and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Christian Women's Fellowship, both at Scott City.
On July 1, 1939, she married Grant D. Cook in Scott City. He died Dec. 30, 1981, in Scott City. She also was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Virgil Storm, Austin Storm and an infant brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Beeson of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; a son, James Cook of Taylorsville, N.C.; a grandson; three granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Burial was in Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.
