Obituary
Alene M. Dearden, age 77, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on November 7, 1932 in Rush County, Kansas, the daughter of Mike P. and Mary Hamrdla Urban. A lifetime resident of Scott County, Kansas, she was a homemaker.

Memberships include Lakeview FCE for over 50 years, past Wheatland FOE Auxiliary #3124, and Scott County FCE Council.

On July 9, 1950 she married Alva A. Dearden in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on March 3, 2006 in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors Include her Four Sons - Lawrence D. Dearden of Scott City, Kansas, Richard P. Dearden of Scott City, Kansas, Alan B. Dearden of Scott City, Kansas, Thad E. Dearden of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Brenda Dearden of Garden City, Kansas, One Sister - Doris Reed of Scott City, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband – Alva, One Brother - Edward "Mike" Urban and One Granddaughter-Amanda Dearden.

Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 with the Rev. Dennis Carter and Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
