Obituary
Warren L. Deeds, 77, died March 21, 1995, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, [Finney Co, KS].
He was born Oct. 18, 1917 at Belpre [Edwards Co, KS], the son of John O. and Lena Etling Deeds. He moved to Scott County in 1946 from Montezuma [Gray Co, KS]. He was a farmer and stockman.
Warren was a member of First United Methodist church, Scott City, and the church choir; Past Master, Anthem Masonic Lodge No. 284, Scott City; the Isis Shrine, Salina; and a former member of the Scott County school board, a former Scott County commissioner and past president of the Scott County Farm Bureau.
On Oct. 20, 1939 he married Nellie E. Nelson at Spearville, [Ford Co, KS]. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jay W., Seattle, Wash., and Craig N., Gardner; a daughter, Sara K. Hoff, Ault, Colo.; a brother, James, Phoenix, Ariz.; and four grandchildren, Jack and Tyler Deeds, and Anna and Blair Hoff.
