Obituary
Eva M Fairleigh, 74, died Thursday, Octobwe 9, 2008, at her home in Scott City.She was born December 6, 1933, in Scott City, to Ellis Robert and Olive Mae Stratton Smith. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mrs Fairleigh was a homemaker and a co-founder and partner of Fairleigh Corporation. She was a member of St Luke's Episcopal Church, ECW, PEO, Scott City Music Club and Scott City Arts Council, all at Scott City, belonged to the National Cattlewomen's Association and was a church organist for many years. On August 3, 1951, she married Floyd L Fairleigh in Scott City. He died May 17, 1993, in Rochester, Minnesota. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
