February 9, 1930 - March 13, 1994
Alfred Gene Hartwig, Sr, 64, Horton, died Sunday, March 13, 1994, at a Topeka hospital.
He was born February 9, 1930, in St Joseph, Missouri, the son of Samuel A and Louetta Goslin Hartwig. He was an electrician for Rockwell Manufacturing in Anaheim, California for 14 years. He was president of the Many Trails Indian Club in Los Angeles in 1960. He was a member of the American Legion and Teamsters Union in Anaheim, California. He was married to Shirley Pizzo, April 27, 1957, in Philadelphia. She survives. A son, Alfred G Hartwig Jr, died July 5, 1980. Other survivors include sons, Michael Hartwig, Philadelphia, and Adolph "Mickey" Hartwig, Horton; daughter, Angela Hartwig, Yorba Linda, California; sister, Anita Phoenix, Reno, Nevada; and two grandchildren.
