Terry L. Pepper, 48, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Mt Carmel Regional Medical Center, Pittsburg, KS. He was born November 26, 1960 at Pittsburg, KS to Marcel and Donna Mae (Phelps) Pepper and was a Pittsburg, KS resident his entire life attending Pittsburg Schools and graduating from Pittsburg High School. Terry was proudly employed at Pittsburg State University working in the landscape maintenance department for 25 years. Terry enjoyed working outside with his hands and took great pride in his work. Even after he got ill he would go several times a week out to work to visit with the guys. Retirement was not a thing he enjoyed. Mr. Pepper was very active in many sports with his two sons Carl and Terrell. He attended Pittsburg ballgames and both Colgan and PHS football. He loved kids. He spent all of his time with his granddaughter whom he was raising with his wife. She was truly the love of his life. They were inseparable. She went with him everywhere, football games, stockcar races and they never missed the fairs and carnivals. She will miss him more than anyone could ever imagine, but she will forever have him in her heart. He is survived by his wife Vera (Amershek) Pepper, two sons, Carl Pepper and his wife Theresa, of Pittsburg, KS, Terrell Pepper of Pittsburg, KS; One granddaughter, Alexis Pepper of Pittsburg, KS, mother-in-law Vera Amershek of Pittsburg, KS whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers David D.A. Pepper and Ronald Beasley.
