ALTAMONT - Marion D Robison, 71, of Altamont died at 2:20 am Saturday, November 24, 2001, at the Labette County Medical Center.

He was born on March 22, 1930, to Claud D.and Doris Stotts Robison of Parsons. He was raised in the Spring Valley community. He graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1948.

He married Lois Harshaw on April 1, 1950, in Oswego. She survives of the home.

He was a machinist for Dixon Manufacturing and Continental Can in Coffeyville from 1951 to 1972 and a supervisor of building and grounds for Altamont USA 506 from 1972 until retirement in June 1992. He had also worked for Beech Aircraft in Wichita after graduating from high school.

While in Coffeyville he belonged to the Civil Air Patrol. He was a volunteer firefighter in Altamont for several years.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No 69 of Altamont; the Scottish Rite of Fort Scott; Mirza Temple of Pittsburg; Independence Shrine Club of Independence and the Labette County Shrine Club of Parsons; Independence Jokers Clown Unit of Independence; SEK Antique Cars and Trucks of Mirza Temple; Mirza Hospital Dads; Coffeyville Retreads Motorcycle Club since 1986; Swing 'N' Twirl Square Dance Club from 1964 to 1992; and a 4-H leader for Altamont Rooters 4-H Club from 1960 to 1975.

He enjoyed camping and woodworking until his health failed.

Other survivors include two sons, Wayne Robison and Kevin Robison, both of Altamont; two daughters, Charlene Tennyson and Wanda Thompson, both of Altamont; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin Robison of Parsons.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Sharp; and two sisters, Arlene Ryan and Dolores Hughes.
