Robert "Warren" McKinnis, 43, of Bronson died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1992 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, Kansas. He was a former coach and science teacher at Uniontown High School.

Warren was born January 4, 1944, at Fort Scott, the son of Siegle and Waneta Rogers McKinnis. He graduated from Bronson High School in 1962 and from Pittsburg State University in 1966. He coached at Canton, Kansas, before going to Uniontown in 1968. He remained at Uniontown until 1972 when he went into farming.

Mr. Warren McKinnis was a member of the Bronson United Methodist Church where he was a lay leader and Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of Bourbon Masonic Lodge at Bronson, Uniontown Saddle Club, American Quarterhorse Association and Kansas Livestock Association. He married Vera Stewart June 6, 1965, at Bronson.

Survivors included his wife, of the home; three sons, Chad, Clay and Clint McKinnis, of the home; and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Siegle McKinnis.
