Obituary
Deloras M Harkness, 76, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Scott County.She was born December 21, 1930, in Valentine, Nebraska, to Carl Clayton and Lucille Margaret Hinrich Dice. A resident of Valentine until moving to Scott City in 1940, Mrs Harkness was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Scott City. On September 25, 1949, she married Robert W Harkness in Scott City. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Mike Harkness of Scott City, and Kenton Harkness of Garden City, Kansas; daughter, Deb Gruver of Scott City; brothers, Darrell Dice of Nampa, Idaho, and Dennis Dice of Bend, Oregon; sisters, Verene Dearden of Garden City, Jean Brandenbuger of Thorton, Colorado, Belva Dice of Klameth, California, Arlene Cookston of Homedale, Idaho, Kathy Coates of Salem, Oreegon, Rita Peterson of Boise, Idaho, and Bonnie Todd of Benton City, Washington; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sonny Dice; and three sisters, Renee Good, Dorothy Bender and Midge Barber.
