Henry Bowers was born in Bavaria in 1801 and died in 1867. He is buried in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. His tombstone says his wife, Mary A. was born 1813 and died 1888. Their oldest daughter, Catherine, was born in Germany.
They lived several years in Pike County, Ohio, where their three younger children were born.
They lived in Illinois and Missouri before coming to Bourbon County in 1857.
At the settlement of Henry's estate, daughter Katherine Bowers Dixon and son Phillip Bowers lived in Arizona.
