Randall K "Randy" Evans
ROSE HILL - Evans, Randall K "Randy," 51, died April 6, 2003. Born September 21, 1951 in Hays, Kansas, to the late Virgil and Dee Evans. His brother, Ricky, also preceded him in death. Randy lived most of his life in western Kansas, growing up in Gove. He attended Fort Hays State University, obtaining both his bachelor and masters degrees. He taught in Holton and Russell before becoming principal and Superintendent of the Hoisington school. Randy and Jan lived 23 years in the Hoisington area, moving last June to Rose Hill, where he became Superintendent of Schools. Randy's life was surrounded by the love he had for his sons and their accomplishments, his love for sports, especially baseball and football, and hunting. He and his wife enjoyed church and other activities as a couple and spending time with relative and friends. His love for education and bettering children's lives was evident in all he did. Survivors: wife, Jan, who he married June 11, 1971; sons, Trever of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Brandon of Manhattan; brothers, Ryan of Dallas, Texas, Rod of Allen, Texas; sister, Racelle Evans of Garden City.
