Orville Lee Potter

MONTEZUMA - Orville Lee Potter, 80, died Monday, March 19, 2001, at his home in Montezuma.

He was born Sept. 5, 1920, in Gray County, the son of Nelson and Mary Grace (Kitch) Potter.

Mr. Potter was a laborer in the construction business. He was a member of Assembly of God Church and a former member of the VFW and American Legion, all at Pratt, and attended the United Methodist Church at Montezuma. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

On July 23, 1949, he married Esther Ethel Keller at Perryton, Texas. They moved from Pratt to Montezuma in 1972.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Linda Kay Lampe, Edison, Neb.; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wilbur Potter and Harold Potter; and a sister, Wilma Schwiekhard.
