Louis Cass Ball was born December 31, 1856 at Canton, Ohio. He lived for awhile with his parents in Illinois and with them moved to Lebanon, Missouri,when ten years of age. He was married to Miss Nancy Margaret Milligan March 4, 1880, at Orla, Mo. To this union two sons were born, one preceding his father to the Great Beyond twenty years ago. the other, Walter, survives him. Mr Ball came to Newton, July 25, 1892 and engaged in the confectionery business, continuing here until his death. Besides his devoted wife and his son Walter, he leaves to mourn his loss an aged mother,a brother,and a sister, whose home is in Springfield, Mo.
