Marty A. Majors, 63, died Wednesday (March 31, 2010) at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation in Halstead.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1946, in Newton to Lawrence and Margaret (Wemmer) Gawthrop.
She married Richard Majors, and he preceded her in death.
Marty attended First Baptist Church in Newton. She was a 1964 graduate of Newton High School and attended cosmetology school. She became a hairdresser with the former Carrousel Salon prior to opening her own salon.
Marty also worked with Riblet Trailer Supply as a warehouse manager and Mennonite Press as a printing assistant.She was preceded in death by her parents.
