Kansan, Monday, December 16, 1901
William Henry Underwood, a colored man who came to this city from Canada about ten days ago died Saturday evening at about 9 o,clock of consumption. The deceased had been suffering with consumption for a long time and little hope was entertained of his being able to withstand the disease much longer. He is twenty-eight years old and is married, his wife being expected to arrive from Canada tomorrow.
