Son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Keltner, Hoisington, Kansas; ensign; Navy; graduate of Hoisington High School; enlisted March 1933; trained at San Diego, Calif., Portsmouth, New Hampshire, New London, Conn.; served on the U.S.S. Trout as an ensign in the Pacific Theater; awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Presidential Unit Citation, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Ribbon, American Defense Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Philippines Defense Ribbon; killed in 1944 in the Pacific aboard a submarine.
