Obituary for Larry Reed
Larry Clifford Reed, 74, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016.Larry was born March 20, 1941, in Quenemo, Kansas, the son of John and Irene Wilson Reed. He attended State Street Elementary School, Holliday Junior High and Topeka High School. On December 30, 1961, Larry and Sandra Ann Bond were united in marriage at Holy Name Catholic Church where they are still members, celebrating over 54 years together.

Larry was a baker at many of the grocery stores in Topeka, beginning his career at age 17 at Falley’s and then Dibble’s, Sutton’s, Bauers- feld’s, finally and currently, Hy-Vee. His duties sometimes included management and he was known as a hard worker with a wry sense of humor. Larry enjoyed 50's music and reminiscing about that time. He was a two-time cancer survivor. Larry was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include Larry’s wife, Sandy Reed; children, Brenda Reed (Stan Sadowski), Kathy Anderson (ex-son-in-law, Doug Anderson), Chuck Reed (Michelle) and Chris Reed; grandchildren, Tanner and Breanne Crawford, Mike (Sonia), Ashley, Jesse and Amber Anderson, and Meaghan, Haylea and Emma Reed; great-grandchildren, Addison Crawford and Noah Anderson; and his brother, Duane Reed.
