HAYS--Veronica Dome, 86, Hays, died Monday, March 7, 1994 at the Hays Medical Center.
Mrs. Dome was born Veronica Befort on April 23, 1907, at Schoenchen. She was a homemaker, a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Legion of Mary, Hays, and the Altar Society and Christian Mothers, Pfeifer.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph A. of St. John's Nursing Home, Hays; a son, Vernon of Wichita; five daughters, Virginia Kisner of Hays, Ruby Karlin and Fran Hunter, both of Hillsboro, Ore., Arlene Karlin of Great Bend and Shirley Gregory of Asheville, N.C.; four brothers, Jerome Befort of Hays, Ray Befort of Smith Center, Gene Befort of Lyons and Eddie Befort of Downs; four sisters, Josie Enslinger of Dodge City, Louise Herman of LaCrosse, Henrietta Younger of Antonino and Mary Carlson of Phoenix, Ariz.; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, the Rev. Earl Befort officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
