August 30, 1829 - November 20, 1866
Son of Batson Dennis and Mary Ann Calendar Dennis. Born in Henry County, Kentucky. Married Mary Ann Huff. Jesse Dennis was murdered by horse thieves in 1866. Honored in 2006 in Topeka 140 years later as being killed in the line of duty. He was in a Sheriff's posse when killed.
