James Albert Kinnamon was born on a farm near Blue Springs, Gage county, Neb. June 1, 1886. At this place he spent his boyhood days, a
favorite among his associates, for at this time is when Bert started to be a real example of manhood, and at the age of 9 years when the father was called from the family, he still continued on looking over the trials and troubles he had, with always those encouraging ways of fellowship, keeping his own burdens and meeting others with a smile. He was united in marriage with Miss Myrtle Darner, November 30, 1904. To this union were born five children: Reva Dale and Raymond Kyle preceding him in infancy. Clair, Marie and Glenn with their mother were with him to the last minute when the end came so suddenly October 10, 1920, aged 34 years, 4 months and 9 days. He was baptized and united with the church at Zion. Later his membership was transferred to the Longford church. Mr. & Mrs. Kinnamon came from Nebraska to this vicinity in the spring of 1905, practically making this their home. He was a loving, kind and faithful husband and father and this did not stop in his happy home but was strewn all along his pathway as his friends are unnumbered. Bert was a man above the average in character and ability, so living as to win the respect and friendship of all who meet him.
Mr. Kinnamon leaves to mourn his departure, his home family, a mother, three sisters, Mrs. R.J. Calkins and
Mrs.F.W. Radtke of Beatrice, Neb., and Mrs. L. W. Hager, Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, J. J. Kinnamon
of Salt Lake City and Virgil Kinnamon of Omaha, Neb., who were here except Mrs. Hager and J. J. Besides many other relatives and a host of faithful friends who gathered to pay their last tribute of love and respect.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning Oct 13 at 10 o'clock from the Longford Church and at the Mizpah Church at 12, conducted by Rev. Honstedt. The Industry Quartet sang many fitting selections. Burial was made in the Mizpah cemetery.
