Arlene I. Abell, 65, Salina, died Thursday, January 5, 2006.

Mrs. Abell was born Arlene I. Swartz on Aug. 12, 1940, in Jerome, Idaho. She was a homemaker and a paraprofessional for the Salina School District for 18 years.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip, of Salina; three sons, Daryl Kriegh of Topeka, and Christopher Abell and Bruce Kriegh, both of Salina; four daughters, Darlene Anderson, Jacquelyn Kriegh and Carrie Meili, all of Lincoln, and Annissa DeJarnett of Catoosa, Okla.; two brothers, Richard Swartz of Sharon Springs and Glen Swartz of Weskan; two sisters, Joyce Cline of Oklahoma City and Connie Foster of Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren, Billie Meili, Travis Meili, Matthew Kriegh, Brent Kriegh, Kyle Kriegh, Julie Robles, Scott Krentz, Shawn Anderson, Jason Anderson, Jennifer Wilson, Joshua Nimmo, Jacob DeJarnett, Jackson Turner and Seth Gonzales; and 11 great-grandchildren, Andrew Krentz, Caleb Krentz, Courtney Krentz, Grace Krentz, Emma Krentz, Joseph Robles, Anthony Robles, Caden Anderson, Alexis Ray, Isaac Meili and Bridgette Kriegh.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. A private inurnment will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott.
