Ernest Watson, 80, died last night at the Allen County Hospital where he had been a patient since April 21.

He was born June 8, 1891 in Rubens, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David A. Watson. He came to Bronson as a small child and on June 8, 1936, was married to Thelma Rose Attleberry in Moran. He farmed and later worked at the Allen County Shop until his retirement. Mr. and Mrs. Watson moved to Iola from LaHarpe in 1966.

Surviving with Mrs. Watson of the home are three sons, Bob Watson, Iola; Earnest R. Watson, Topeka and David Watson Tulsa; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Friskel-Kinser Chapel with the Rev. W.J. Deckinger officiating. Burial was in the Bronson Cemetery.
