Sophia was an immigrant from Hannoversche Landkreis, Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen), Germany. Her parents were William and Katherina Maria Kurka Lehmkuhl. She married Deatrick Fuhrmann October 16, 1849 in Cass County, IL She was the Mother of (part of the children): Mary Jane Allenbaugh, Ellen Sophia Allenbaugh, William Herman Diedrick Fuhrman, Sarah R Bennett, Anna Augusta Campbell, Stella Lacena Fuhrman, Jesse Fuhrmann, Melvina Fuhrman, Emma Cassy Horner
