Pearl H Burris was born June 12, 1896, at Orion and died August 23, 1959, at Oakley at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 11 days. She married Floyd S Burris December 28, 1915, at Gove. To this union were born 8 children: Ida Marie and Austin, who preceded her in death; Elizabeth Summers, Elbert, Colorado; Doris Summers, Kansas City; Missouri; Otis, Gove; Viola Grubb, Lexington, Missouri.; Kenneth, Olathe,; Mary Jane Losey, Gove. Her busband, Floyd S Burris, Oakley and a brother Lloyd Schaible,; Gorham also survive. In addition there are 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Most of her life was spent on farms in Gove county until the spring of 1953, when Mr and Mrs Burris moved to Oakley. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 42 years. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, Methodist WSCS, and the Gove Methodist church
