Mina Augusta Caswell, age 87, of Peru, Kansas, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 23, 2007 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was born August 30, 1920 in Nowata County, Oklahoma to Thomas M and Mary D Moore Long. She grew up and attended school there until the 7th grade. She married Kenneth W Caswell October 27, 1939 at the Methodist Parsonage in Tyro, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2000.They lived in Wann, Oklahoma for two years, later moving to Neodesha, Kansas and living there for six years. After moving to Tyro, Kansas and living there for eight years, they moved to Peru in 1985.She was a housewife and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Caney.She is survived by sons, Leon Caswell of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Bill Caswell of St Paul, Kansas, and Ben Caswell of Peru, Kansas; daughters, Claudia Dhooge of Greeley, Colorado, and Laura Lumley of Peru, Kansas; sister, Lahoma Deiley of Picher, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren & 36 great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth and 16 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held October 26, 2007 at the First Christian Church of Sedan, KS, with Leon Caswell officiating. Interment will follow at the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville, Kansas.
