Doris Mae Decker, 92, of Southaven, Mississippi and formally of Galva, Kansas, entered into eternal rest at 11:56 pm on June 11, 2013 at Southaven, Mississippi, after several stays in the hospital. She was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to be with her husband, Red. Doris was born in rural Galva, Kansas, on May 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Lena B Unruh and Frank Rudiger. She attended and graduated from Lone Tree Country School, rural Galva, Kansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church McPherson, Kansas where she was a past member of the O U R Sunday School Class and currently a member of the Fidelis Class. She was united in marriage to Vernon "Red" Decker February 18, 1940 at McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together near Galva, Kansas. Red died on August 9, 2003. Doris was a homemaker and business partner along with her husband Vernon "Red" Decker in Decker Repair and Decker Ditching, Galva, Kansas. Doris is survived by her sons, Dausie D, husband of Carol Decker, of Hernando, Mississippi, Darrell D, husband of Barbara Decker, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tony G, husband of Shirley Decker, of Independence, Missouri; daughters, Winette J, wife of Ronald Whitlock, of Topeka, Kansas, and Debbie, wife of Richard Dilling, of Ecru, Mississippi; brother Galen Rudiger, of Newton, Kansas; 14 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great granddaughters.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon "Red" Decker; sisters, Francis Nickel, Susie Klatt, Pauline Smith and Irene Ratzlaff.
