April 15, 1924 - August 29,1979
Elmer Augustus Ross, 55, rural Horton, died Wednesday morning, August 29, 1979 in a Topeka hospital following an extended illness. He was born April 15, 1924, in Springfield, Missouri. He had lived in Wichita many years before moving to Horton four years ago. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of a Baptist church at Springfield. He was a painter. He was married to married to Margaret Cadue. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Glynis Ross of the home, Mrs Joan Myers, Whichita, and Mrs Vesta L?; one son Augustus Elmer Ross, Wichita; brothers, Earl Ross, Warsaw, Missouri, and Joe B Ross and Benjamin Ross, both of Springfueld, Missouri; sisters, Mrs Verda Joerhs, Rogersville, Missouri, and Mrs Lela Louise Clarke, Springfield, Missouri; and nine grandchildren.
