March 29,1923 - March 18, 1996
Herbert Ross Jr, 72, of Falls City, Nebraska and formerly of Horton, Kansas and Topeka, Kansas, died on Monday, March 18, 1996 at the Community Medical Center in Falls City. He worked for Goodyear Tire in Topeka, Kansas as a tire builder.
He was born March 29, 1923 at Brown County, Kansas, son of Herbert Ross, Sr and Maggie Goslin. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army.
He married Florence Nocktonick at Holton, Kansas. She preceded him in death in 1968.
Survivors include a son, Gary Ross, Topeka; a daughter, Joyce Ross Peay, of Charlotte, North Carolina; a brother, Harvey Ross Sr. of Horton; a sister, Norma Jean Whitebird, of Horton; a friend, Dorothy Wissman, of Falls City; and four grandchildren.
Kennekuk wake services will be at the Old Kickapoo Community Building, west of Horton, on Wednesday, March 20, 1996 at 5:30 pm. Visitations were held on Wednesday from 8 am to 2:30 pm at the Maple-Chaney Moruary in Horto
