STARK, KS - M. Carol Ard, 62, Stark, Kansas, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Missouri.
She was born July 15, 1943 in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, the daughter of Jessie and Nellie May (Craft) Davis.
She grew up in Elsmore, Kansas and attended school there, graduating from Elsmore High School.
On Dec. 12, 1961, she married Darrell R. Ard in Iola, Kansas. He survives.
She worked for Kustom Electronics and MPH before working as a cook at Ozark Manor Nursing Home, Chanute, KS.
She enjoyed knitting.
Other survivors include three sons, Eric and Bryan Ard, both of Chanute, KS, and Garry Ard, of Flagstaff, AZ; a daughter, Darla Henderson, of Savonburg, KS; two brothers, Merle Davis, of Chanute, KS, and Richard Davis, of St. Paul, KS; five sisters, Neomi Turner, of Chanute, KS, Betty Craft and Jane Pease, both of Iola, KS, Linda Harris, Quapaw, OK, and Melba Hutchins, Joplin, MO; 10 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
..She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jessie Davis Jr; and a sister, Ona Mae Davis.
