Mrs. Susie May Bailey, 70, Arcadia, well known as a nurse at Mercy Hospital, died Monday at Mercy Hospital.
She was born at Garland, May 7, 1903, the daughter of John and Sara Jane Harrison Endicott. She married Cliff Bailey on Dec. 30, 1926 at Girard. Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Baptist Church, Garland Topaz Chapter OES and Garland Grange.
She is survived by the husband of the home; one son; Arthur L. Bailey of rural Garland; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Pellett and Miss Lucy Endicott, both of Fort Scott and Vera Lakin of Arcadia, one brother George Endicott of Arcadia.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Konantz Chapel with Rev. R.B. Shoemaker officiating. Burial was in National Cemetery.
