George W Beaman was born in April 1835. He enlisted in Co C 130 Ill Volunteers in 1862 and served until December 1865. He died August 12, 1906 at his home near Bronson. Little is recorded of his early life or known by his family.
Those who were his neighbors and acquaintances testify that in all his dealings he was strictly honest and upright, while his kind heart and cheerful disposition made him liked and respected by all. He was a considerate father and husband and will be sadly missed the home circle.
