THELMA E. CADY
..Thelma E. Cady, age 89, Moran, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at the Loving Care Assisted Living facility in Allen, Texas. She had moved there from Moran to be near her daughter.
..She was born June 18, 1915, on a farm north of Elsmore, the daughter of Charles and Elsie Johnson Wallgren. She grew up in the Elsmore and Savonburg areas and was a member of the Friends Lutheran Church there.
..She married Claude E. Cady December 26, 1935. They lived for one year in Humboldt, then made their home in the Elsmore and Bronson areas thereafter. They lived on a farm south of Bronson until the time of Claude's death on Feb. 3, 1984. She lived on the farm for a total of 55 years before buying a home in Moran. She was a member of the Bronson Baptist Church for many of those years. She resided in Moran until November 2002, when she moved to live with her daughter and son-in-law in Allen, Texas due to declining health.
..She lived her last two years in assisted living facilities near her daughter's home.
..Survivors include three children, Colleen Cady Hayes of Allen, Texas, Leon Cady of Moran, and Lee Cady of Bronson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
..She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sisters, Belle Hoover, Pearl Harclerode, Milma Tucker, Violet Higgenbotham, and Mabel Wingler; and a brother, Edward Wallgren.
..Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Bronson Baptist Church with David N. Kuns officiating. Burial will follow in the Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Moran Chapel, 344 N. Cedar St., in Moran.
..Memorials are suggested to the Bronson Baptist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
