Eva Ellanora Markle was the daughter of George W. and Mary Gertrude Vestal Markle. She was born in Ashawa in Dallas County, IA. Eva married David Emery Watson on June 27, 1900 in Webber, Jewell Co., KS. They were the parents of Mark Emery, Bessie Orlena, Mabel Evelyn, Ralph Orval and Ruth Agnes. Her husband David Emery Watson is buried beside her in Bronson Cemetery.

Mrs. Eva Ellanora Watson, 89, of Bronson, died yesterday afternoon at the Mercy Hospital in Ft. Scott.
Mrs. Watson was born Jan. 30, 1874 at Ashewa, Iowa, the daughter of George and Mary Gertrude Markle. She married David Watson at Webber, Kan., on June 27, 1900. In 1902 they moved to Bronson where he was a blacksmith. He died Oct. 16, 1940. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, the Rebekah Lodge and the Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Colwell, of Bayfield, Colo., Mrs. Ruth Donoho of Saco, Mont., and Mrs. Mabel Nichols of Bronson; a son, Ralph O. Watson, Salinas, Calif.; two brothers Thomas H. Markle of Glasgow, Mont., and Charles Markle of Canton, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Zumwalt of Hesperia, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Vimont of Springfield, Ore.; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Bronson Methodist Church with the Rev. Mrs. Winnie Reade officiating. Burial was in Bronson Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the cancer society.

Mrs. Eva Ellanora Watson, 89, Bronson, died yesterday in Mercy Hospital.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Bronson Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mrs. Paul Reade, officiating. The body is at Ralston-Hutton Funeral Home, Moran.
Mrs. Watson was born Jan. 30, 1874, in Ashewa, IA.; the daughter of George and Mary Gertrude Markle.
She married David Watson at Webber, Kas., on June 27, 1900. The couple moved in 1902 to Bronson, He died there in 1940. Mrs. Watson had lived the past ten years in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Nichols, Bronson.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Nichols; Mrs. Park (Bessie) Colwell, Bayfield, Solo.; and Mrs. William (Ruth) Donoho, Saco, Mont.; and a son, Ralph Watson of Salinas, Calif.; two brothers, Thomas Markle, Glasgow, Mont., and Charles Markle, Canton, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Zumwalt, Hesperia, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Vimont, Springfield, Ore. There are 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Her parents, husband and one son, Mark Emery Watson preceded her in death.
