Floyd Donald Conner, age 86, Fort Scott, and formerly of Redfield, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at Fort Scott Mercy Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1915, in the Drywood Township, the son of Don W. Conner and Ruby Geraldine Ball Conner. He graduated from the Guinn School, south of Fort Scott. He attended the Godfrey and Cherry Grove churches and became a member of the Cherry Grove Church in 1936. He lived most of his life in Bourbon County. He and his brothers managed the farm following the death of his father in 1935.

He married Nadine Beatrice Endicott Oct. 26, 1939 at Garland. They lived in that area until 1951 when they purchased a farm in the Redfield area. Due to health, he sold the farm and livestock in 1993 and moved to Fort Scott.

He served on the McQue School Board in Missouri, the Guinn School, and District No. 40 School Board near Redfield. He held several offices in the Paint Creek Church of the Brethren, where he became an active member in 1953. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau and the Redfield Ruritan Club for many years.

Survivors included his wife, Nadine of the home; one daughter, Sharon Ralls of Cimarron; one son, Don Conner of Tinian Island in the Marimas Islands of the South Pacific; two sisters, Irene Simpson of Severy, and Juanita Galvin of Mission, Texas; six grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clinton Conner, Dudley Conner, and Vessie "Bill" Conner; and two sisters, Bessie Parker and Velma Sackett, Hutchinson.

The Rev. Chub Bolling and the Rev. R. B. Shoemaker conducted funeral services on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in the Paint Creek Church of the Brethren. Burial was in Clarksburg Cemetery.

The family received friends on Wednesday in the Cheney-Witt Memorial Chapel.

Memorial were suggested to the Paint Creek Church.

Nadine Beatrice Conner, age 93, formerly of Fort Scott and more recently of Cimarron, Kansas, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Western Plains Hospital in Dodge City. She was born October 23, 1919 in Bourbon County, the daughter of Charles Endicott and Grace Beatrice Wise Endicott. Nadine married Floyd Donald Conner on October 26, 1939 at Garland, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2002. She was a member of the Paint Creek Church of Brethren since 1955 and prior to Paint Creek she was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church. She loved to quilt with the church ladies.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Ralls and husband Floyd, Cimarron, Kansas; a sister Ollie Faye Rolf of Wichita; six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Don Conner, one sister, Edna Ricketts and four brothers, Leo, Marvin, Leroy Bud and Warren Endicott.

Rev. Randy Harrell and Pastor Chub Bolling conducted funeral services January 21st, in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial followed in Clarksburg Cemetery
