Obituary taken from The Edna Enterprise, Oct. 21, 1904:

ANOTHER WRECK VICTIM.

Clifford Ragel Died at the Hospital Friday Night from injuries Received.

Clifford Ragel, the only surviving child of Phillip Ragel and wife Emma Rose Triebel Ragel who were killed in the fatal railroad disaster at Warrensburg Missouri, last week, died at 5 o'clock Friday evening at the hospital in Sedalia, Missouri. The telegram announcing his death came only a few hours after one had been received stating that he was improving, and was consequently received with much sadness here, since hopes were high that he would recover.

The remains arrived at one o'clock Sunday and the funeral was held from the M E church at 2:30, Rev J R Hankins preaching the feeling and effective sermon. Hundreds of people viewed the remains and the funeral procession was almost a mile in length.

Clifford was fourteen years of age and was beloved by all who knew him. He was injured internally and notwithstanding the hopes and prayers, was unable to survive. He was conscious to the last and knew that he was dying. The remains were interred beside the rest of the family.
