Obituary, Fort Scott, KS Tribune
Lloyd Montee Biles, Sr, 79, Route 1 of Redfield, died at Mercy Hospital Sunday evening, Mary 9, 1980. He had been in failing health for several years.
Mr. Biles was born in Uniontown,Dec 31, 1900, the son of James and Emma Montee Biles. He was married to Vera Martin on Oct 10, 1923 in Independence, Mo.
Mr. Biles was a lifelong resident of Bourbon county, and had farmed in the Fort Scott and Redfield areas.
Survivors include the wife of the home, and two children: Lloyd M. Biles Jr. and Mrs. Everett (Joan) Jackson of Redfield; one sister, Mrs. Flora Brauss of Coldwater, Kans; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One son Wendell died several years ago.
Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in Earl's Memorial Home, with Elder Clarence Graham and Elder Arthur Dennis officiating. Burial will be in the Uniontown cemetery.
