Madge Irene Brite drowned at Point of Rock, north of Elkhart, Kansas during the flood on the Cimarron River. Madge was in the up stairs of the Brite home when the flood hit. Her dad Perry Brite was outside and called for to jump from a window into his arms. When she jumped a surge of water separated them and Madge was found several miles east of their place. Madge was buried on the north side of the Cimarron on the ranch where she was found. Daughter of Perry C, and Nora L Brite.
Perry Merle Brite

Perry Merle Brite drown in the Brite home at Point of Rock, north of Elkhart, Kansas during the flood on May 1, 1914. Perry Merle was in the house when the flood hit. Water rushed into the home and Perry Merle was pinned to the wall behind a piano, where she was found after the water receded. Perry Merle was buried next to her sister several miles east of the Brite home. Daughter of Perry C and Nora L Brite.
