Obituary:
James W. Armstrong, Jr. (Jim), 69, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2011 at his Kansas City, KS home. Jim was a skilled marksman, mechanic and machinist with a strong appreciation for antique machinery of all types. He retired from a long career in heavy construction, paving America’s mid-western highways. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, 2 daughters, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren, his mother, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
An intimate grave site service is planned for the surviving family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to Bethel Cemetery Association would be greatly appreciated, c/o Roberta Bennett, Treasurer, 2403 N 100th St., Kansas City, KS 66109.

Carolyn Lee Armstrong, 71, Kansas City, Kan., passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. Memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2907 North 81st St., Kansas City, KS 66109. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to the Bethel Cemetery Association, where she served as president for many years. Carolyn was born April 11, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. She played the organ at many local churches and school districts. She was preceded in death by husband, James W. Armstrong, Jr. She is survived by four children, Paula Finch, James W. (Karen) Armstrong III, Ron (Kimberly) Armstrong, Kimberly (Joel) Pletcher, four siblings, George Frobig, Caleb Frobig, Clara Frobig, Charlotte Andre', seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
