DIED----In Macon township, about 4 miles northwest of the city, on Friday, March 19, 1881, of consumption, Mrs D M Ripperdan, wife of A K Ripperdan, aged 43 years. The funeral took place from their residence, Rev J F Lyon officiating. Mrs Ripperdan with her family came to this county several years ago, and she was known to a goodly number of our people. She was the daughter of Mrs I Yocum, and sister of George A and Lizzie Yocum, and Mrs B F Evans, and leaves a husband and two well grown sons. Mrs Ripperdan was a devout christian, an affectionate wife and a kind mother, but that direst of all diseases fastened its fangs upon her several years ago, and finally came off conqueror while she was yet in the prime age of life.
