Obituary
Oakley Emmett Albright, age 82 of LaCygne, Kansas passed away May 31, 2008 at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born March 4, 1926 in York, Nebraska the son of Loyd Alvin and Viola Susan Shook Albright. Oakley married Joann Little October 10, 1954 in Delaware, Oklahoma. Oakley graduated in Pineville, Missouri and served in the US Navy as a Gunner mate. They moved to LaCygne in 1973 where he worked for Kansas City Power & Light as a welder. He was a member of the IBEW Local # 412 and the American Legion Post in Louisburg. He was preceded in death by his parents , one brother Phillip Eugene Albright and two sisters Genevieve Maxine Floyd and Janeese Albright in infancy. Survivors include his wife Joann Albright of the home, 6 daughters Shirley Kinder and husband Stanley ; Sherry Holmes and husband Todd both of Paola, KS., Judy Albright, Peggy Noel and husband Fred, Mary Shelton and husband Robert, Kathy Lewis and husband Ted all of LaCygne, Kansas. 9 grandchildren Kevin Kinder, Kelly Kinder Dunn & husband Chris, Sara Noel Swepston & husband Forest; Kenny Shelton & wife Victoria; Mary Grace Shelton; Michelle Holmes ; Nicholas Holmes; Tara Lewis; and Amanda Lewis; and 3 great grandchildren Luke and Desi Swepston and Kandance Shelton. Services will be held 10:00 am Thursday June 5, 2008 at the Coffel –Schneider Chapel in LaCygne, Kansas. Visitation 6:30 to 8 pm Wednesday evening at the Chapel. Interment in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaCygne.
