Norma Jean Rebarchek, 73, of Grinnell, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina.

She was born Oct. 23, 1935, in Phillips County, to Charley D. and Julia Ragsdale Russell.

A lifetime resident of Gove County and the Grinnell area, she was a homemaker.

On Nov. 2, 1953, she married Frank Milton Rebarchek in Gove. He survives. Other survivors include five sons, Charles Rebarchek of Finlay, Ohio, Frank Rebarchek of Scott City, Cecil Rebarchek of Healy, Neil Rebarchek of Grainfield and Alvin Rebarchek of Colby; two daughters, Gayle Bland of Gove and Nancy Yates of Oakley; five brothers, Andy and Ralph Russell, both of Phillipsburg, George Russell of Agra, Albert Russell of Alma, Ark., and Loyd Russell of Hoxie; two sisters, Alice Wing of Salina and Ruth McElhaney of Quinter; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Eugene and Kenneth Rebarchek; an infant daughter, Frances Marie Rebarchek; and a sister, Clara Bretton.

Funeral was at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, 217 Freeman in Oakley. Burial was at Gaeland Township Cemetery in Orion.
