Cheryl Elaine Cogdill, 57, died February 20, 2010, at her home in Great Bend. She was born August 27, 1952, at St. John, Kansas, the daughter of George Sylvester and Loretta "Joan" Riegel Ming. She worked in the medical billing department at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She lived in Great Bend most of her life.
On June 14, 1970, she married Steven Eugene Cogdill at Great Bend, Kansas.

Cheryl was active in Barton County Relay for Life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed singing, playing the piano, writing songs, and gardening.

Survivors include one son, Shawn Jason Cogdill and wife Erica of St. Robert, Missouri; one brother, Jerry D. Ming, Great Bend, Kansas; four sisters, Cynthia J. Lyon and husband Jim, Wichita, Kansas; Brenda L. Krier and husband Allan, Holiday Island, AR; Susan K. Parks, Great Bend, Kansas, and Mary Jane Leshore, Great Bend, Kansas; two grandchildren, Taylor Cogdill and Keara Cogdill. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Joan Ming, and infant triplet siblings (two brothers and one sister).

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, Kansas, with The Reverend Fred Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.
