July 14, 1841 - July 25, 1904
From the Globe-republican, August 4, 1904:
Mrs G E Barnes died July 25 and was buried in the home grave yard. Her husband, Geo E Barnes belonged to Company E 58th Indiana Infantry. Company E was from Gibson county. He came here from Shawnee county.
Martha is most likely Martha Jane Laffoon, from Stewartsville, Missouri. RLDS church records in Stewartsville show George Barnes from Gibson, Indiana, and wife Martha. George and Martha are also shown together in several census records. Death record of Martha's daughter Rosa Morris lists mother as Martha Laffoon. George Barnes was a later husband.
